A Sound Designer, Music Director, Composer & a Producer, Dr. Arvinder Singh has been nourishing his strong hold on music through the many collaborations he has been lucky to successfully complete with an array of renowned musicians from all over the country.
Dr. Singh has been a prominent part of the numerous musical concerts conducted by ICCR — (the Indian Council of Cultural Research) in various countries across the globe and has also been part of the jury for many a national level competitions of great stature, AIU national youth festival held at Ranchi this year as being one of his most cherished as he recalls besides his recent felicitations by the Guru Nanak Dev University for his continuing contribution to the field of Music and Sound Recording.
Robust editing & mixing interventions have been the hall mark of his multiple skills as a sound recordist that have seen him successfully sail through his long journey commenced as a music arranger, audio implementer with a special interest in musical games to composing melodies for various projects and finally establishing his own state of the art recording studio by the name of Muzik Monk in NCR.
No wonder COVID 19 has not stopped his passion of keeping his love for recordings live like this author’s for writing blogs and practicing music from the desk of their respectives work from home stations some 30 kilometers away.
It was this passion that lead Dr. Arvinder to pick one of my casual posts of an audio clip that I happened to record in the four walled boundaries of my drawing room with all the usual sounds around unfiltered and magically sync it with his music and video clips pointing to the immense potential that such an arrangement offers for musicians and recordists unable to connect up with each other physically in current times of hostage by COVID 19.

As a youngster, Arvinder had always dreamt of setting up his own recording studio though he did complete his BCom and dumped his idea of completing his CA to rather graduate in music from the prestigious Delhi School of Music in Chanakyapuri besides completing a crash course in Sound Engineering opening his opportunities of a life time career in the wonderful world of sound and music only.
The turning phase from commerce to music came in his life after he just once happened to listen to Jagjit Singh singing Shiv Kumar Batalvi in a wintry evening of 1981 and since then he has been Jagjit Singh’s fan like millions of others across the world.
Singh started playing various instruments like a piano, keyboard — that he brought from Singapore and also performed live with legends like Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh in the initial years before switching over as an independent music programmer and deciding to focus on his project to set up his own studio, gaming projects and digitization of music after 1992.
Singh has since given music for umpteen jingles, titles, folk songs, background scores recording the same both indoors in his studio as well as outdoors and by the year 2000, he was a proud Sound Recordist member of the Ghoomer Musical Team, for this famous Rajasthani folk-lore released by the T Series that was reported to have registered the highest sales of its CDs nationally till then.
His first love for the gaming music blossomed with his integration with Ishir Gaming & Ingenuity Gaming Pvt ltd followed next with Merkur Gaming Pvt ltd, where he mustered rich experience of delivering complete diverse sound packages for various games. As far as the games are concerned, says Singh, “ I have been involved in the research of the thematic sounds, designing of new sounds, creation of loopable and straight sounds for all types of Casino Games, Slots Games, Table Games and Land based Games, since 2006 having integrated with International brands like IGT, Microgaming, Playtech, 888, Aristocrat, Pariplay, Openbet, Endemol, Skywind, Sigma Gaming, 2by2 Gaming, Bally, WMS, Cadillac Jack, PokerStar, NYX, Leander Gaming, Lightning Box, among several others but am unable to share Game Titles Information as my contracts with my clients do not let me make these public.
